Clearly we can't expect that overnight China will go from being served only from London, to being like the Gulf, and served comprehensively from airports across the UK.
Given that China will continue to increase in economic and business importance over the next decade or so, then I'm sure BHX will get scheduled Chinese services, and what has happened with China and BHX / MAN has only happened, in reverse with India. We don't know at present what the coming China charters season will produce, but there's no reason why growth shouldn't be on the cards, despite the new MAN services.
At least now BHX has a facility which can compete on a level playing field with MAN and London - leaving aside political meddling.
