I am of course being facetious for which I apologise, but that would explain why Liverpool do market that connection LPL - AMS - AUH that way and good on them for doing so if it helps with their own PAX figures, as they'd be daft not to.

My comment about not acknowledging MAN was in a more general context of the Northern Powerhouse that betablockeruk referred to. If it's a concept that is going to work, I feel it somehow has to strike a balance between an understanding of the strengths of the other cities involved, co-operation where possible but at the same time each city and region maximising its own potential. Not easy to achieve I admit.
