No it is not my superior knowledge but just reading back on comments including my own when diverts have happened in the past. As already stated it is rare for any Southend flight to be delayed let alone past 2am so hopefully this is something that won't be an issue for many months to come.
Yes my comment about the terminal closing during the day was tongue in cheek but when you have an arrivals board that looks like this today with the last depature at 3pm the terminal could close at 7pm and I think on Wednesdays there are even less flights.
I just find that board painful to look at. We all had such high hopes a couple of years ago so it was never meant to be this way.
