I think the greatest problem about the transfer time by road would be its unpredictability. There would be two main choices, either A40/M40/M25 or the A312 Hayes Bypass. If lucky you might be on the road 15 minutes, if unlucky, it would have been quicker to walk.
You also have the nearby underground stations at either Ruislip Gardens (Central Line) which is a 10 minute walk or Ruislip (Metropolitan & Piccadilly lines) which has a regular bus service which pass RAF Northolt.
