I am assuming the brave guys who originally tested the seats don't qualify because the seat was not actually used to save their life in an emergency.
I am guessing the reason the guys who tested the seats don't qualify, is because the ejection seat was not actually used to save their life.
Ejection Tie Club
We run an exclusive Ejection Tie Club for all pilots that have used one of our ejection seats. Life membership of the Ejection Tie Club is confined solely to persons who have ejected from an aircraft, in an emergency, using a Martin-Baker ejection seat which has thereby saved their life.
