Lower Costs?

I think you are on a sticky wicket there Frank

LHR is one if the costliest airports in the World

If RW3 goes ahead it will be loaded with an incredible volume of debt some of which will be passed on. If it was going to inherit lower costs BA would be rejoicing. They are not.
No guarantee that Liv would get a service anyway.
A dash 8 to AMS is possibly dooable but we will see.
Not necessarily, it's a long way down the line. Air travel will clearly become more attractive as road journeys become even longer, tedious and stressful because of the congestion (motorway widening won't keep up), and, significantly, although train journey times may be slightly decreased, ever higher ticket costs price many off the railways.

So who can say, with a third LHR rwy, there may well be a LHR-LPL route, don't dismiss the possibility just yet. No guarantees obviously, but who knows just how sticky the wicket really is.
