I'm not quite sure what the situation is, as the poster States 'EK have not applied for any increase at Manchester'.
Looking at advanced copies of the slot reports for S16, Emirates have indeed applied for an increase at Manchester:
Change/ Emirates applies for 4th daily B777-300ER from 01st May 2016 a1535/d1705. All times local.
Also, to accompany this, they have applied for and been granted 56 weekly slots versus the current 42.
Also worth noting that the Air China flights are in there from 25th March, as is a daily Hainan from 1st Sept and Iberia Express daily.
