Ummmm! Quite interesting this.
However, after using the Epson original cartridge's I throw them out in favour of compatible's. Been doing that through 3 Epson printers over a period of four years. My 760 does me alright I have to say. The colour prints are excellent.
The real point is this. That not only does the ink run out on it's own. The cartridge (black) is £4.99. The colour cartridge is £6.99.
One rule. Print a test page at least every three days. Stops any chances of clogging, which incidentally, happens with Epson cartridges also.
