well Qatar launch out of BHX 8x weekly in March. Will be interesting to see how that is received as the scale of BHX is a lot more comparable to EDI than the likes of MAN and LHR. Reports suggest seats are selling well but early days yet.
What I do find interesting in this article is the idea of Qatar being the first of the MEB3 into an airport. Historically, emirates have been the pioneer into a market and Qatar/Etihad followed (in this regard I consider Scotland a market, similarly London instead of GLA vs EDI and LGW vs LHR). However, emirates have not been tempted into the likes of BRS/CWL/BHD so will be interesting to see what Qatar see that Emirates haven't... I suspect the Qatars fleet is a little more flexible than Emirates...
