Was it Buck Loader and 888 that had a similar life raft issue resulting in a divert to Kef, a ferry flight home to Lyneham and then years in the hangar? I think we knew it was serious at the time but it sounds like we were bloody lucky that it wasn't as bad as the above Navy flight.
