Rest assured that, whatever happens, Cathay will take the path that saves them most money and prepares the Airline for sale to a big Chinese 'player' thereby closing the circle that started with the introduction of opium to this part of the world and 'dog eat dog' (literally) commerce ever since.
The last thing that will be considered is the interests of the Pilot group.
