The RAAF in the late sixties spun a C130A and lost I believe 6000ft and caused six spin like antics.
The aircraft did did not appear after much checking to be over stressed but did fly a little slower that the rest of the fleet. The airplane was eventually returned to service.
Spin was caused by the CFI holding the stall too long, the wing dropped and the rest was history. All four crew on board lived a normal life and did return to flying duties, sadly all have since died of natural causes.
