Away from London; just how much UK wide "brand loyalty" is there to a company that really doesn't serve the customer?
It's been measured to be high, a trusted quality brand. Look, I know they're occasionally pretty awful and cancel MAN shuttles at the drop of a hat etc, but surprisingly, they've kept BHD, LBA and are re-launching INV alongside ABZ/EDI/GLA/NCL/MAN and also JER if you count LGW and add in DUB in terms of the wider islands. Maybe they listened. Clearly they don't just serve London in the UK and Ireland. They haven't got the cost base or even the know how to serve point to point UK-elsewhere alas.
The UK brand they project is the quiet power people speak of, the UK brand to the world. They don't wrap themselves in the flag by accident, now you might say "Want to look a flag carrier then act like one" but no one knows how to make a profit doing that sadly. Ask Air France.
Also aren't Lufthansa on strike? It's contagious.
