Changing a company's branding costs a huge pile of cash - it's far more than buying some new paint. Communicating a new image to customers around the world and getting said customers to recognise the new imge is a long and difficult exercise for which a benefit should be obtained.
If BA are to embark on this project, there needs to be a compelling reason for it.
