Nothing is what it used to be anywhere! My tax example was for total tax, including the top brackets of 50 and 55%
On a higher salary the total tax willl be a few % higher, but never over 50% I live in Sweden and work in Norway and would actually save quite a lot if I was taxed in Norway, due to higher tax brackets starts a lot higher and deductables are better. Still I choose to commute. There are quite a few places with lower taxes in the world, I would not want to live there due too poor welfare benifits. A lot of people in my family, including my self, have gotten excellent care when treated for severe and complex illnesses... Saved my life and career and it was for free! I am certain SAS is a good place to work, everyone I know there are happy. There is more to life than as much money as possible in your pocket... Happy where I am and will not apply for SAS.
