You could try a BluLink Pilot bluetooth device (
BLULINK). They work in series with your headset. I've used it successfully with AvPlan EFB on my iPad. iPad's support A2DP connectivity with the BluLink which I think is slightly better sound quality than HFP.
Also, it may be worth asking BOSE as they have a bluetooth retrofit available for their A20 models.
