How are the long haul schedules only 10 days off a month? TPE to most North American cities and back is around 25 hours. Are you only credited for the hours at the controls or are you doing 5 day trips to accomplish an out and back? I'm trying to wrap my mind around how the schedules actually work. Are the schedules fixed and bid by seniority? How long can new pilots expect to be on reserve?
