Now what will happen to an airframe without HS? Clue it was strong enough to break the fuselage into 4 main pieces, Cockpit, forward fuselage over wings, rear fuselage to read doors, remains of empenage minus HS and rudder.
It is the HS breaking away that needs to be explained in this incident.
agree most tail sections are found relatively in tact, and yes I think the departure of the HS is key!
I think it went in two sections the left (already found), did it stress break (unlikely) something hit it engine/TP ?, then still to be found which might give a clue is the the stump of the left HS and whole of the right HS.
