Well, the front page can be held, MAN accepted a divert from LBA tonight.
And another one after midnight apparently.
Was the notam not re-issued at midday Tuesday? I just wonder if it was our actual foggy weather and the continuing forecasts, perhaps combined with the other issues mentioned, that was the key reason for the decisions. As I recall, the notam on Sunday which expired at 12.00 wasn't renewed until 17.00 and the weather had improved a bit - although not to the extent forecast - during that time. Likewise, yesterday the original forecast was that the fog would persist for part of the morning but it actually lifted before dawn.
Are there any major taxiway restrictions affecting ops currently. which add to the difficulties in bad weather?
Just a thought. And I know other airports such as BHX and LGW accepted diversions in poor conditions.
