Seen an article regarding the matter today. Project Blackbird as BE call it is now completed, which is essentially a loss mitigation programme with the E190's. Says in the article that current losses resulted to around £20 million on the E190's, but hope to reduce that to around £4 million in a few years time. It was initially anticipated that losses would amount to around £80 million from these aircraft.
Begs the question, when the E190's finally all get returned to their lessors, the likes of DSA and perhaps CWL may see their services reduced, or replaced with what BE deem as a replacement for the E190's !
