I know that SEN always get a lot of stick when it suffers from fog and in a way it's justified as it highlights its shortcomings in necessarily being a CAT 1 airport, but LCY should surely be mentioned in a similar context. So far LCY has had six landing aircraft out of a total of 61 scheduled for today and it is quite possible that that will remain the situation at the close of play.

It's been suggested here that easyJet should warn people of the slightly greater chance that their flight may be cancelled due to fog if booking a SEN flight but I've seen no suggestion that airlines using LCY should issue similar,. if not greater, warnings. If there are no landings at SEN today I think I'm right in saying that this will be the first time since easyJet started their operation there in March 2012. During that time they will have scheduled around 23,000 movements at SEN and very few have been cancelled or diverted for reasons of weather.
