There has been talk that Sully could have made Teteboro, and that a computer would have done so. That is all very well, but the computer would have to be programmed with ALL building work on EVERY approach to EVERY airfield in the world, and in many cases ANY large ships etc transiting the area. Yes, it could be done, but the constant updating (assuming EVERY building contractor informed the relevant authorities), would be enormous.
