How will a computer be able to be programmed to recognise, for example, a vehicle about to trespass onto a runway when the plane is about to land? It may be programmed to recognise a shape, but it will take a human to instantly interpret the shape, speed and likely trajectory, and make the split-second decision for a go-around.
Driverless cars will probably have even less time to react.
