Anyway, there is zero chance of repopulating an entire RAF base for the P8. Compared with using the infrastructure already in place at Waddington and the space vacated by 5 Sqn / Sentinel, the costs would be astronomical. Quite frankly we could not man an extra main operating base so this is just a local pipe dream.
If they do things right, they'll put them where they are best positioned, Leuchars would be a more logical location than Waddington. By the way, I've read that SDSR findings will get their first public outing this week?
