KTM300XC-W - I work here in Canada too and yes the tax brackets are expanding, the more you make the more you pay and you net earnings after tax are really minuscule. The Liberals promised a tax hike to improve income for the middle and lower class - just gotta live with it.
Now on the topic of going to the ME, eventually that is my goal too but only because i have history and family there.
If you do apply to QA EK EY or FZ, just know the COLA is very high in those countries. Your salary will look nice given no tax, but the costs associated with that salary and the hours you put in make the end income comparable to that of Canada. Its a choice as to where you are comfortable living.
Dont go for the money, balance your career goals with family life and decide.
