Managed to get there on Friday - and let me say, they were a great bunch of lads...
Seriously, nice airfield, friendly reception, professional A/G operation (no wannabe ATC types). Only minor gripe is that at £15 I would have liked a cafe to go to - but the Shack tell me they are open all year and you're right about the rock cakes, though I'm not a fan of instant coffee. But I'll be back, definitely. And although the joining instructions on the website look a bit intimidating, the disused railway line you need to find to avoid Fleetlands couldn't be easier to spot.
