Ah yes, guilty as charged Suzeman. As you know, I'm old enough to remember the Airtours flights - it's just the memory that plays tricks these days!
As for Mr Kehoe, could he be regarded as the Jose Marinho of aviation perhaps? Doesn't seem to go out of his way to court popularity outside of Birmingham, but at the end of the day he'll be measured on achievements and those of his Aviation Development team at BHX. As you pointed out in a recent post, the latter is headed by a former MAN executive, formerly with ACL, who seems to be doing rather well winning new services and airline operators.
