Yes, credit to the BBC for some frequent reports and publicity today. Slightly unfortunate that for a time they referred to 3 flights a week to Beijing instead of 4, and I do wish someone had told them to slip the word 'mainland' before China when highlighting Hainan's were the first direct flights from a UK airport outside London. In fairness to Birmingham, they probably should have added 'schedule' as well. As I recall, MAN itself forgot SQ when CX started in a reference to flights to the Far East. This time it's CX who may feel slightly aggrieved.
Sorry to be a pedant but it shouldn't be difficult to be accurate especially when there is plenty of advance warning.
Overall though, some great publicity for the city and the airport.
