My point was not that cattletruck was using the gay marriage debate for his own agenda. Sunny's original post had nothing to do with gay marriage, the hierarchy of political concern or if we should turn gay or not! The introduction of these additional topics only serves to distract from the point of the original post without introducing meaningful discussion, perpetuating the constant cycle of dysfunction in GA advocacy.
As sunny himself put it:
"We have no vision of what we want, operate piecemeal and are thus easily divided and conquered by those that do have a vision:"
If the gay marriage debate could serve as an example of anything is is how strong advocacy and a shared VISION can get you to the top of the political priority list. When was the last time you heard of infighting among the various groups that represent the LGBT community?
