Yes that new express which has been delayed like 90% of the time is carrying 18% capacity, 20 on a good day which has directly transferrd from the service 15 minutes earlier. There has been no increase in numbers and revenue has actually dropped. It was totally
PR driven and has failed massively....
There is not demand when you have like 60% of passengers on 50% of trains goong nowhere near Cork but onto Limerick/Tralee who service was withdrawn.
As for Belfast yes lower numbers because of the utter incompetence and mess Irish Rail and Translink make of the route the current refurb progamme just another example of Translink at its finest.
Trust me I have an ever greater knowledge of railways and how they work. It is sure its always busy type folk who haven't a clue, all well and god been busy when huge numbers are not paying for tickets.
I agree about the general rail link point and long term planning.
Compare night rail links in the UK and see there is not many if any intercity services and you think they would work here!
