In any case why wouldn't Brum's business leaders and it's local paper want such a prestigious visit? There'd be something wrong if they didn't bother!
I'm sure there's plenty for both places in all of this.
Got to say though that George Osbourne is starting to make a powerful case for an alternative to London.
I guess it helps that his constituency starts and ends at the boundary fence of Runway 2
