Surely it would be unlikely that any sale of shares would be limited to an interest in Manchester Airport but rather the wider Manchester Airports Group (i.e. including Stansted, East Midlands and Bournemouth). Also, do people really see a scenario where the GM Authorities would give up their majority stake in the Manchester Airport Group?
I do wonder if it might perhaps be shares in MAG Property (i.e. the sub-division which is responsible for Airport City, among other things) given there is already Chinese money being used in the project?
