As society further breaks down and people become more self centred than ever before I think fixed back seating is the future. Take a look at the new LH 747 economy class. It's still 32 inch pitch but the recline is horrifying for anyone behind. Their A330s were horrific but the new 747 cabin refurb is even worse. I believe BA have reclining seats on their A320 fleet with the new interior which is just madness.
