Visited the above today for the first time and just wanted to say what a great little airfield it is. Fantastic approach up the Solent and finals over the sea onto a beautiful runway. The guys in the tower super friendly, a short walk from the tower over the road onto the beach for coffee and rock cakes at The Shack, overlooking the Solent across to IOW.
Give it a go, you won't regret it :0)

Was planning to follow your advice and go there this morning - only to wake up to 5000DZ OVC008. However I'm hoping to go later this week.
Do you know the Shack opening times? Worried they'll close for the winter...
