Manston Airport: Key statements and letters have just been published by RiverOak.
Well it would appear that USA firm RiverOak have finally lost all patience with the leader of TDC, Councillor Chris Wells.
On the RiverOak website they publish both the latest letter from Chris Wells, to them (apparently the cumulation of the 30 days that Chris Wells has spent in silence), and George Yerrall's reply to Chris Wells.
RiverOak responds to Cllr Chris Wells - RiverOak Investments Corp
The RiverOak reply to Chris Wells starts :
"
I am disappointed and distressed because your response leaves me with the clear message that you have no interest in doing a CPO with RiverOak in your role as the Leader of TDC. "
But ends with the statements :
"We’re still here and we are ready to execute our Indemnity Agreement, immediately. We hope to move forward in a more open and transparent process.
Thirty days have come and gone. The only “progress” we have made is that we are now certain that you have no interest in a CPO."
The Save Manston Airport association thank RiverOak for continuing to battle the stonewalling by Councillor Chris Wells, and for aiding the people of Kent and their elected representatives in Thanet District Council, in their declared wish to return Manston Airport to Aviation use. The 9,200 members of SMA will continue to do anything reasonable we can towards this aim .
