There will be an increase of stands in the new development, but, many have expressed concern that despite an increase of stands, they will still not be enough based on current growth rates.
As said, we already have at least 10 new based aircraft next summer. (2 easy, 1 Ryanair, 1 DHL, 1 condor, 1 Air Bridge, 2 Jet2 and 2 Thomas Cook). I've not included VS given they had 4 based at the summer peak this year.
If that was to continue, the airport will struggle parking wise.
What needed is more off peak away based flights. Norwegian and Vueling are the key to that.
Or perhaps even based units with offset times?
