I seriously doubt they are 'certifiable". There is no way that an evacuation could be performed safely with that configuration.

I also doubt such seats could meet the 16g requirements.

Let's patent every possible idea, and if someone can figure out how it can actually work, we'll sue them for millions. ....

I disagree. If you take such pax-coffin, equip it with BRS and an ejection mechanism, you may even be much faster upon evacuation and if clad in rubber it may feel padded cell with a lot more then 16g capability, but add some cryogenics and you are ready for Mars. For a premium one could also offer point2point travel and be ejected away from any airport ... "Look there is Aunt Annie under the parachute in this tin can coming in" ... and if the drop goes wrong, you already have a coffin fitted (all-in tickets with in case funeral included maybe?) ... even handy for fatal aircraft accidents, no need to put a pax into another bed and add some stands to it, so you can easily lie in state right away. Ok ok, I am done now.
