UK manufactured Chippies have been moved into the Annex II list as they are no longer supported by the type certificate holder.
Depending on your state of registry, you may be able to get the aircraft moved from a full certificate of airworthiness to a sub-ICAO category which may allow more leeway on getting repairs approved.
In the UK many are now on a permit to fly under auspices of the LAA.
