there was a report drifting around a couple of days ago that our Russian friends are going to upgrade some of their SSN's - presumably because they can't build enough new ones fast enough
but this will mean taking current kit out of service for some time - I think the report said they might drop to 9 active nuclear subs - not sure if this was SSN only or SSN + SSBN
If it's both its about the same force as the RN...................
