Q For ATC. GLA NGY 1J DEP+ Scottish

Question For ATC at Scottish and GLA.

Most flights want to go south, but needs must, and we are given Newgaloway 1J departure from 05 at GLA. I reckon all controllers will give a right turn at the GLG if they could. Do us pilots really need to ask for it every time, or can we assume that you know we all want a shortcut and will give it if you can?

Also, GLA and EDI departures; can the initial call be "bloggs234 passing 1800', Turnberry 2A, 7613 IDENT" thus removing the need for the ident to be requested.

This has probably been covered here before, but I've not seen the relevant thread.

Regards,

Jemy
