Some fantastic photos. Prompts a memory.

As a wet behind the ears graduate back in the last century and based in nearly the top floor of a Headingley office building, my window positioned drawing board had a superb view. One crisp cloudless winter's day I watched an aircraft with contrails emerge from the east and tracked it as it flew over and disappeared to the west. Was captivated by it and the idea that in the time I tracked it (cannot remember now and can only guess 20 minutes or so) this solitary aircraft must have passed from North Sea to Irish Sea, during which time goodness knows how many people could have looked up to see this tiny dot pass by.

Suppose that should have been 20 minutes when I was working, yet it was so mesmerising that the memory sticks.
