@nick14 well, since i did the conversion from the FAA to the JAR, the conversion course entails just flying the multi engine to get the MEP and doing some instruments to get the Instrument rating. Most FAA to UK JAR conversion packages offer the same thing.

So when I applied to the UK CAA, my license just had the MEP rating and the IR with ME. I'm assuming the CAA expects that I have already flown single engine to get to multi engine.

The problem is I am doing the FI course in portugal and the school here wants me to renew my SEP rating and since my license does not show a stand alone SEP rating, I was confused.

@parkfell My JAR license does not show a SEP as well. which is very strange. I'm assuming the CAA expects me to have already flown the Single engine to get to the Multi engine. or maybe they expect me to exercise single engine privileges through my FAA license.
