Lapsed UK PPL

Hi All,

I have a UK PPL since 1993. I did not changed it neither for JAA, nor EASA licence, its still the good old fashion hard cover PPL. I was current until 2-3 years ago, since I have not flown. Now I want to bring it back alive, and just realising about all the new regulations about EASA. At moment I am in Finland, and I was advised, that I can do everything here. I have already my appointment for the medical. I am pretty sure that will be accepted CAA. I also found a company who would do the Proficiency Check here. The problem, although they can train for PPL in Finland, they are not ATO. I guess the examiner will have the necessary authority, but what about the refreshing training? Would it be accepted by CAA? And I believe when its all done, I have to send it to CAA to convert for EASA licence.
Thanks for any advise.
