Alitalia ex CEO goes down
Rome, September 28 - Four people were convicted on Monday in relation to the bankruptcy of the old Alitalia, Which was liquidated in 2008 for the carrier to be reborn in a new form. Those convicted included Giancarlo Cimoli, Alitalia who was president and CEO from May 2004 and February 2007 and received a prison term of eight years, eight months. A Rome court ordered payment of millions of euros in damages in the case related to the management of the airline from 2001 to 2007. Three people who were on trial were acquitted.
