It will be interesting to see how the golf club set take to the new Business cabins on the 2-class A380. If Seat Guru is correct (and it may not be) EK appear to have gone for an 8 abreast (2x4x2) seating arrangement in Business, albeit in a staggered layout. That's a big come down from the current 4 abreast though (1x2x1).
The seating hasn't changed. So, it's still the staggered 1x2x1.
Another possible issue is that the Business cabin is now at the rear of the upper deck, with the front half of the upper deck now occupied by 120-odd Economy seats. I suppose this is because it was too hard to relocate the stand up bar from the back of the aircraft to the front. It will be a brave crew who try to keep 557 Y-class passengers in their seats after an 8 hour trip from Dubai, while the Business passengers disembark first from the back of the bus. The sprint to be first in line for Border Control could well see a few world records being broken
The upper and lower decks have separate bridges. The upper bridge is currently behind F. So, in theory, they could hold back the economy passenger in that area. There will be a few rows of economy in front of business though.
