Patrikal. Sorry you had to witness the dead of a good friend doing what he liked best. drew was very capable pilot and safety was always his first priority. No one expect any of these to happen. We all prepare for the worst and honestly I dont think he comprehended until it was too late to bail out what was happening! For us acro flyers, the nano second the aircraft doent do what it is supposed to do, you must act fast! Most of us apply the PARE emergency procedure immediatelly then your options are bail out after jettision the canopy. At low altitude ther is not much choice...
