With VS to end 747 ops at LHR, I guess their capacity to SFO will be reduced anyway?
I know that it is still 9 months until the launch of SJC. BA have just updated there schedule for May 2016 and SFO is showing as continuing 2 x daily with a 747 and a A380 operating daily. BA currently operate a 747 9 x weekly and a A380 5 x weekly.
I think there is enough demand to support all 3 flights during the summer season. It wouldn't surprise me however if BA decide to reduce capacity whilst continuing a 2 x daily frequency for the W16 season. BA could continue a daily A380 service and replace the daily 747 with a 777 or 77W
