Aside from the pax success of the re-introduced Cathay service, hows the cargo doing? Considering CX dropped their dedicated freighters some time ago- wonder if they are recovering some of their freight traffic. I'm sure Spanners@CX can tell us.
One wonders whether Cathay lost any freight ex MAN during the period they had no flights. With freight, you always have the opportunity to re-route it to flights where you have spare capacity, so taking it to LHR and elsewhere was no doubt the norm. However with a direct service, things become a little quicker again and of course freight generates an important source of revenue to aid the flight's economics.
Many trucks ply to and from MAN's freight village every day with freight that is actually flying into or out of somewhere else.
