Passenger numbers
Looks like LCY has overtaken Aberdeen in terms of pax numbers, not far off Liverpool either (albeit Liverpool will keep a good lead in August - LCY's quietest month historically).
I'd expect LCY to overhaul Liverpool by the year end though....who's next? 2016 could bring the airport close to handling the same number of passengers as Belfast International & East Midlands. A year or two after that (depending on the next mayor!) and LCY might breach 5m pax/yr.
Tantalising prospect for the next potential owner?
Although if/when LCY breaches 5m pax it will no longer be in the "small airport" category come awards time....I'm guessing there is a "medium airport" category? Which airports win in that area at the moment??
