Note since ex QF guy took over running TT yields have gone up.
& if a TT(VA) 738 goes U/S, presume they'd either use a TT A320 (so it might need a tech stop for fuel or carry less pax) or even a VA painted 738. Am sure Indo authorities would allow that as a temporary replacement.
Last thing indo's want is 170+ whingeing Ozzies at DPS saying we can't get home & broke.
+ VA has lots of flights to DPS. As long as when aircraft goes U/S it's not school holidays, they can put pax on other VA services.
Gee, if you were a pax & aircraft went U/S, would you rather:-
1) wait until another aircraft found to do flight
or
2) take any option available right now, via anywhere ?
It would take most sensible pax a nanosecond to choose 2, esp after all the well mentioned cancellations @ DPS due to volcano.
